Blogging Live From The Senate of the Philippines

Having fun

No, it’s not as cool as you think. One week here and I’ve managed to cry unadulterated tears of boredom and to get sick with your friendly neighborhood flu. Don’t get me wrong though—the people are awesome. They’re nice, they’re smart, they’re sometimes funny in a good way. But I am more than the tiniest bit bored. I am writing this while my head is pounding and I just KNOW that it’s gonna get worse tomorrow…when I’m discreetly playing PSP while "listening" to the hearing of the Committee on Ways and Means at 9 am. How awesome can things get?

But seriously, of course I want to do a good job and make UP Manila proud. It’s time to put all that political juju I’ve heard in the last four years of my life to good use. Quite frankly enough though, I don’t like it here, but like I’ve been telling myself since the past week I’ve been OJT-ing—suck it up and bleed. I mean life is not all roses and flowers and makeup and nice boyfriends, right? Life is sometimes a dismal cornucopia of influenza, watery snot, boredom, and existentialism.

Well, at least the Senate has internetz. It’s not blocking The Man Blog and Twitter too! Yay!

With the unrestricted Internet access at the Senate? I won’t wonder more about inefficiency.

yeah, OJT in the senate is super boring. I’ve experienced that :( Know what, from 8-7pm without work. Thanks God, I have my friend on the same department and we’ve gone to mall of asia a lot hehehe
