What’s Up?

I got here a new template which is less extravagant than my last. It's fairly simple, really. It shows Marco's chucks and my killer pointy shoes doing a preposterously emo pose together. Aren't they cute? Yes, just say yes. I'm in a pretty good mood today as the semestral break is in full swing (I think, but I might be wrong because I tend to forget little things like, I dunno, final exams? Guh.) I'm just bumming around the house until something happens. The weather seems to cooperate too—all mellow and cool like it just gobbled fishballs swigged down by a plastic cup of sago't gulaman—so I'm quite happy just being here.

 

So what do I have up this break? Well, if all goes well, that is, if everyone feels inclined to it, we'll start work on the official paper of the College of Arts and Sciences called Tagamasid.  It's been up in the air for so long and I sincerely wish that the editor-in-chief can make time for this. Obviously, I'm excited about it. It's not going to be your typical UP paper—we'll try to prevent activism from plaguing it, as it does in most papers from the university quite rabidly. It's overrated. I'm not saying activism is an evil, evil thing, but I bet students would like to read more about other things, like toys, books, movies, human interest stories. The works. I hope we get our shit together because I miss writing for a school paper.

 

Er not really but that sounds good to say eh? Eh? Being editor-in-chief is hell and I know this from experience.

 

On other news, Jolo and I will be making this lomographic short film wherein I get to be the lead (and probably only character). We're still in the conceptualization stage–the theme is 'love' so that's a pretty vague and thus, difficult thing to make a film about without looking ridiculous. Everyone's done everything regarding love so being original in the area is harder than giving my dogs a thorough bath. Sigh. But I'm sure the output will be great! We've got Peter, the walking brain, on our side to help us out. Jolo takes amazing pictures. And me? I'm a good cheerleader. Yep. This film will be an entry to Cinamalomo 2007 so watch out for that.

 

Before I let you resume with the business of your life, I'd like to ask you to listen to the audio file above. It's called Sun by this band called Daphne Loves Derby and it falls under my category of 'in love' songs. It's just so happy and heartbreaking at the same time don't you think? Also, the lead singer is effin' cute. I haven't had a crush for a disturbingly long time and now I do! Hello, high school.

wtf, i just noticed Fritz, i haven’t changed your link to your new blog. :( but i know i did. pau’s too. i dun get it.

i like your template, but i find it’s pretty complicated. but fun. and orange.

rhodora: he never washed those shoes, i think. anyway now he’s in the habit of wearing black socks and tsinelas together. hurrah, style? and that blue key chain hasn’t made an appearance for some months now. now that you mentioned it, i wonder what happened to it.

I’m in love with the layout. And the splash (because that’s what I call it. Hahaha.) Weird considering I should be shying away from anything described as emo.

Well, you’re far luckier because you claim (or so I think) to not have thesis in your next two years. Right now I’m crawling in a highway of salt and gravel. And you, you just write and stuff.

And then, that love concept, it takes a thousand years to get refined. My concept ideas won’t make any sense. Of course, he’s the lomographer, he’s waay better than I am.

There, there, I have placed a comment. If only a virtual hug is in the offing…

…I should sleep. I just love my desktop wallpaper though.

we have to do a research paper. its more or less the same i guess. it just sounds less threatening but it’s the same shit.

I liek fun and complicated and orange. Yes, you lieked it and taht’s good enough. Will want to change my headers and the graphics soon, too, but will hold on to the orange and grey ’cause they both colors spell sexey liek taht. Woot! Also, Marco, I got you a jade dragon.
