My Boobs Can Kill Me Someday
August 16, 2007 I have 32As. In a time when big boobs are all the rage, I'm happy with the bit that I got. I wouldn't really want those big bouncy things getting sore all the time on me because I'm a stickler for comfort. Also, I can wear any top without looking like a ho' and without being looked at like I'm a ho'. I know someone who has huge tits and a crew neck shirt shows her cleavage. That's difficult.
Sometimes though, it sucks to have small jiggies when I'm feeling sexy and I want to show them off. Underwire bras really don't make much of a difference with 32As, you know. Besides, underwires are hella uncomfortable, what with the wire cutting in your skin if adjusted the wrong way, or if you're doing heavy physical activity like running. It gets frustrating, especially when the latest fashions require a girl to have at least a moderately generous bossom. Which I don't have.
Some guys do tell me, however, that proportion is more important than the size. Big boobs on a petite frame can look…gross, for lack of a better term. Think Keanna Reeves, who probably has a third of her weight on her tits. In my case, I think mine are relatively proportional to my body that has hips that measure 35 inches and a waist that says 26. Not bad, I guess. My body issues mainly concern my waist and my arms. I've long given up on giving pep talks to my boobs once I discovered by age 14 just how recalcitrant they are.
Now, to get to the point of all this babble:I half-heartedly believe that my boobs can kill me someday. It's a small fear of mine which I really don't want to acknowledge while I'm still at the peak of my immortal youth. Being nineteen gives you the impunity to believe that you can do anything and get away with anything. The impunity, however, does not extend to the refusal to acknowledge certain uncomfortable facts.
My dad's mom died from breast cancer. My maternal grandmother's mom had her right boob shaved off because of breast cancer. Spot the diffarents! None. If I have to be paranoid here, it seems as if breast cancer could be my heritage. It might only be a matter of time. I try not to think about it, but during my weaker moments, I touch my breasts (no, you dirty-minded punk) to check for lumps. Sometimes there's something, sometimes there's nothing. It might all be my imagination.
It's funny to think that my demure 32As can kill me someday. They're so small and harmless you wouldn't think they could have it in them! But who knows.

I agree proportion is more important than size ,heard that also on the National Geographic (boobs-dripping- down-their-waists-are-not-really-cooll)LOL! hahah
nice site.
niko: maybe it’s not hereditary. still doesn’t stop me from worrying about it, even if i’m just 19.
undextroist: yeah i guess.
Posted by lizette at August 16, 2007, 10:44 pmand one thing -i heard going thru a mammogram hurts like fuck.
Posted by onezero at August 17, 2007, 1:07 amIf you’re worrying because it could hereditary, well, buti na yung lagi mo siyang chinecheck. Pero wag mo muna isipin, baka magkatotoo. Kidding. Hehe.
I love my 32A’s. Haha. So comfy.
Blog hopped, I like how you write.
onezero: care to enlighten us—what the hell is a mammogram?
gean: thanks! small boobs are nice, really, once one gets the hang of it.
Posted by lizette at August 17, 2007, 1:30 pmer I’m a student nurse here and breast cancer is heriditary
mammogram is a diagnostic test to detect lumps in ur breast…it’s a big intimidating machine where they “squeeze”(i think)your breast
and u mentioned that sometimes u can feel lumps in your breast well that is normal in regular days because it is made up with glands and tissues so maybe u were just feeling those
there is a proper way to do breast self-examination…u should do it after 1 week of menstruation and palpate ur breast and armpits in a circular way if u detect any mass during that period…uhmm that maybe a possibility but don’t wori too much ^_^ goodluck
thanks student nurse! you should’ve left your URL though so i can visit.
Hi Liz! You’re lucky with your 32As. Mine used to be 34Bs. Then it became 36Bs. Now am using 36C bras and they’re still “nag-uumapaw” so I usually opt to go bra less na lang (when I’m wearing a tight-fitting top, that is) for comfort. It’s also hard to jog and do some exercise routine coz they tend to get in the way. Sometimes I’d think they got bigger coz I used to hold my boobs all the time when I was younger. So far, I haven’t detected any lumps. But to be sure, I should get a mammogram when I’m 30 something. You can do the same too. You can also teach Marco how to detect lumps this early (with the guidance of a doctor first to get it right). Peter learned it the hard way when his mom got breast cancer. So most of the time, he’s the one cupping me just to be sure.
Have a happy long weekend!
jen: i’ll take your advice. thanks!

when i was growing up, i wanted to be a doctor. i thought doctors do the breast-squeezing during tests
the title of this entry really caught my attention. don’t worry too much about getting sick. prevention is always better than cure. always do the “kapa-kapa” check just to be sure.
Posted by grace at September 3, 2007, 12:55 pmDo not worry too much about it. Check it from time to time, para sure

And here goes that entry you told me about. Haven’t you used every other term for breasts in this entry?
Might be your imagination, though. I’m feeling very lazy, with the rain and all, to check whether breast cancer is somewhat hereditary, but isn’t it too early to worry? I mean, you’re just nineteen! As far as I know cases like these happen when you’re older, much older.
You still have twenty-ish years to contract that, in which case it already is your choice.
